Bayer Leverkusen sack Erik ten Hag

Bayer Leverkusen have parted ways with Erik ten Hag after only two matches in charge of the Bundesliga champions.
The former Manchester United manager was appointed during the summer to succeed Xabi Alonso, who left the German side for Real Madrid. However, his reign in Leverkusen has ended almost as quickly as it began, with the club deciding to terminate his contract following a poor start to the season.
Reports indicate that training at Leverkusen was postponed this morning as the club finalised its decision, leaving players and staff in uncertainty about the immediate future.
