Tribute
A tribute to Dr Solomon Arase, By DIG Zanna Ibrahim (Rtd)

Dr. Solomon Arase , Rtd IGP, CFR, NPM,fdc a man of great might,
With intellect sharp as a knife, he cut through life’s plight.
A detribalized Nigerian, with a heart so pure and bright,
He led with vision, integrity, and a spirit that shone like light.
As IGP, he visited Yobe’s troubled ground,
With service chiefs and the minister, together they were found.
At the height of Boko Haram’s darkest night,
He stood tall, a leader guiding with all his might.
Our paths converged, and he saw something in me,
A potential to grow, a future to see.
He transferred me to Delta, a privileged place,
A new chapter unfolded, with challenges and pace.
The Police Veterans Foundation, a legacy he’ll forever own,
A project born from his heart, to support those who’ve sown.
Their seeds of sacrifice, he’ll forever hold dear,
A testament to his leadership, and his love that’s clear.
With books and journals, he shared his mind’s wealth,
A prolific author, with insights of great health.
National and international conferences, he did attend,
Sharing knowledge, shaping policies, till the very end.
You were more than just a boss, a mentor true,
A friend and advisor, with guidance shining through.
Your loss is felt deeply, by all who knew,
A void so vast, that can never be anew.
May Allah accept your soul, in eternity’s realm,
May your legacy live on, forever to beam.
Rest in peace, dear Dr. Arase, your memory stays,
A shining star, that guides us on our way.
