Emir joins rescue operation as soldiers cheat death in Taraba

Four soldiers narrowly escaped death on Thursday after their vehicle was involved in an accident on the Mambilla Plateau in Taraba State.

The mishap occurred as troops navigated the challenging mountainous terrain of the area.

According to a report by security analyst Zagozola Makama, the Emir of Mambilla, Dr. Shehu Baju, personally took part in the rescue efforts to ensure the injured soldiers received swift help.

The wounded personnel were later taken to the 20 Battalion Barracks in Serti for urgent treatment.

Traditional leaders and residents of the region have extended their sympathies and prayers for the soldiers’ quick recovery, while urging continued safety for security personnel carrying out their duties.
