Car crash halts suspected kidnappers’ escape after ransom pickup in Nasarawa

A group of suspected kidnappers met an unexpected twist of fate on Monday morning when their getaway vehicle crashed in Angwan Mayo, Kokona Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.

Eyewitnesses reported that the gang was speeding away after collecting ransom money from the relatives of their captives when the vehicle lost control and veered off the road.

Security operatives, including police officers and soldiers, arrived at the scene within minutes, securing the area and taking charge of the situation.

Local residents commended the swift intervention of security forces, stressing that their prompt response prevented the suspects from vanishing into surrounding communities.

As of press time, authorities had not released information regarding arrests, the amount of ransom recovered, or the condition of those inside the vehicle.
