Speaking shortly after his victory, Ikpea thanked God and the people of Edo Central for their overwhelming support. He said their votes reflected confidence not only in him but also in Governor Monday Okpebholo and the APC’s developmental agenda for the state. Ikpea also commended the APC leadership and the campaign council for their “coordination, discipline, and tireless efforts,” pledging to focus on infrastructure, youth empowerment, education, healthcare, and strengthening traditional institutions.
