Tinubu chairs FEC meeting, inaugurates Nigeria Law Reforms Commission

President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday inaugurated members of the Nigeria Law Reforms Commission (NLRC) ahead of the weekly Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The brief swearing-in ceremony, held at the Council Chambers, saw Professor Dakas CJ Dakas take the oath of office as Chairman of the commission, alongside Dr. Uchenna Eugene, who was sworn in as Commissioner.
The NLRC is tasked with reviewing, updating, and reforming Nigeria’s laws to ensure they meet contemporary needs and align with international best practices.

The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, described the late Ogbeh as a patriotic Nigerian.
Present at the council chambers are the Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima, the Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Dr. Esther Didi Walson-Jack, the National Security Adviser, NSA, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu and the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila.
