After years of teasing their fans with sweet hints, football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has officially popped the question to his longtime partner, Georgina Rodríguez and she happily said yes!

Georgina took to Instagram on Monday to share the joyful news, proudly showing off a stunning diamond ring that sparkles brighter than the floodlights at Old Trafford.

“Yes, I do. In this and all my life,” Georgina wrote in her heartfelt caption, marking a love story nearly a decade in the making with a promise set in stone—and a very sparkly one at that.

Fans have been quick to notice this isn’t the same sparkler she’s been wearing in recent years — this one is bigger, bolder, and unmistakably the ring.

Only last month, Ronaldo hinted at why the couple hadn’t yet tied the knot, telling Netflix cameras: “I always tell her, ‘when we get that click.’ It could be in a year, six months, or even a month. I’m 1000 per cent sure it’ll happen.”

Well, that “click” finally came, and it looks like CR7 just scored one of the most important goals of his life.

The couple, who have been together since 2016, have been dating for nearly nine years and share four children; Ronaldo also has a son from a previous relationship.

Cristiano Ronaldo met Georgina Rodríguez in Madrid, where she was working as a sales assistant at a Gucci store. She described their first meeting, saying it was love at first sight, with an instant connection.

They were first publicly spotted together later that year at Disneyland Paris, which confirmed speculation about their romance.
