Benue politician killed by unknown assailants

Unidentified assailants have killed a politician in his Otukpa residence, Benue State.

Security analyst Zagazola Makama reported that the victim, Hon. Sunday Idoko, was killed on Saturday afternoon at his  house on Anmoda Road, Ohimini Local Government Area, where he was attacked with a machete to the head.

According to Emoni Mohammed, a family friend, the alarm was raised by the victim’s children after the assault.

The body has been taken to the Federal University of Health Sciences Teaching Hospital Mortuary, Otukpo, for autopsy.

Authorities say an investigation is underway to identify and apprehend those responsible.
