Tiwa Savage opens up on s3x tape leak, father’s death

Afrobeats superstar, Tiwa Savage, has revisited one of the most challenging chapters of her life — the 2021 leak of her s3x tape and the loss of her father , describing them as the lowest points in her career.

In a YouTube interview with British media personality Zeze Mills, which began trending on Friday, the award-winning singer reflected on how she endured the double blow of personal tragedy and public scandal.

“My dad died and my s3x tape was released. The only way I could have survived was not to think about it,” Savage revealed.

The Somebody’s Son hitmaker said she overcame the period by refusing to dwell on the controversy and expressed gratitude for still having a platform to share her truth.

“Being here on the couch with you is such a blessing. Just the fact that you even want to talk to me, people want to hear what I want to say after how many years. It feels good. I’ve gone through so much, but have I really enjoyed the moment?” she added.
