FIFA Rankings: Super Falcons maintain Africa’s best spot, rank 36th globally

Nigeria’s Super Falcons have once again proven their dominance on the continent, maintaining their position as the highest-ranked women’s football team in Africa.
In the latest FIFA Women’s World Rankings released on Thursday, the Falcons are placed 36th in the world with 1,630 points.
Despite intense competition, Nigeria continues to lead African football, outperforming continental rivals such as South Africa, who are ranked second in Africa and 54th globally with 1,465 points.
Women’s Africa Cup of Nations finalists and hosts, Morocco, are third place with 1,407 points and 64th place in the world, while Zambia are fourth with 1,402 points, and 65th at the global stage.
The next edition of the rankings will be published on Dec. 11.
