Gunmen murder Fulani herder, injure cattle in Taraba

Tragedy struck in the Mounga Dosso area of Karim Lamido Local Government Area, Taraba State, as a Fulani herder was reportedly killed by unknown attackers while grazing his cattle.

The incident, which occurred on Sunday afternoon, was made public in a post by security analyst Zagazola Makama via his official X handle on Monday.

“The victim, identified as Abdullahi Yusufa, was shot in the ribs and hand and also suffered machete cuts to his head,” Makama wrote .

A relative, Ardo Ibrahim Gambo, reported the incident to security agents, who quickly moved to the scene.

Yusufa was found lying lifeless and rushed to the General Hospital, where doctors confirmed him dead.

During the attack, four of his cattle were also shot. Two died instantly, while the other two were so badly injured that they had to be slaughtered.
