Missing Nigerian university’s final-year student found dead after 5 days

A final-year student of Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma, Edo State, identified as Blessing, has been discovered dead five days after she was reported missing.

Blessing, who was in the Department of Microbiology, was last seen on campus last Sunday.

According to sources, she disappeared the following day after taking part in an examination.

Messages allegedly sent from her phone indicated that she may have been kidnapped, with a ransom reportedly demanded.

Her body was eventually discovered in a decomposed state within her residence when police operatives moved in to investigate.

Confirming the incident, Edo Police Public Relations Officer, Moses Yamu, said investigation has commenced.de
