Osimhen sets new record in Turkey, completes €75m transfer to Galatasaray

Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has officially sealed a move to Galatasaray in a deal worth €75 million — the highest transfer fee ever paid by a Turkish club.
The Turkish champions confirmed the acquisition of the 26-year-old from Napoli through a post on X on Thursday.
Under the agreement, Osimhen has committed to a four-year contract that will see him earn €15 million annually. He is also set to receive a €1 million loyalty bonus, alongside an additional €5 million for image rights.
As part of the terms, Napoli will secure 10 percent of any profit from a future sale of the player. Galatasaray will pay €40 million of the fee upfront, with the remaining €35 million to be settled within the next year.
The contract also includes a clause preventing Osimhen from joining any Serie A club for two seasons.
This transfer marks the conclusion of a two-year saga, during which the forward was sidelined at Napoli early last season.
Osimhen will aim to continue his impressive form from his loan stint at Galatasaray last season, where he netted 37 goals and provided eight assists in 41 appearances, helping the club secure both the league and cup titles.
