(JUST IN)Ondo guber dispute: Appeal Court affirms Gov Aiyedatiwa’s victory

The Court of Appeal sitting in Akure, the Ondo State capital, has affirmed the election of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in the November 16, 2024 gubernatorial election.

In a ruling delivered on Thursday, the appellate court dismissed all appeals challenging the legitimacy of Aiyedatiwa’s victory, describing them as lacking merit.

The judgment puts to rest months of legal tussles over the outcome of the highly contested poll and reaffirms Aiyedatiwa’s mandate as the duly elected governor of Ondo State.
