2027 : Tinubu will secure Kano, Arewa bloc votes – APC chieftain, Alfindiki

A prominent figure in the All Progressives Congress (APC), Faizu Alfindiki, has expressed confidence that the party will secure a decisive victory in Kano during the 2027 general elections, delivering victory  for President Bola Tinubu.

Alfindiki made the statement on Wednesday while hosting Tinubu’s team of social media influencers for a luncheon in Kano. He praised their efforts over the past six months, noting that their work had helped communicate the president’s achievements directly to millions of voters in the North (Arewa).

Alfindiki said, “Our meeting with you this morning is to rejig your activities, address challenges where necessary, and I am pleased to say that the last six months have been daunting, bold, and in essence has helped tremendously position Tinubu’s reelection bid in a firm, and positive light in Kano State in particular, and the North in general.”

The former chairman of Kano Municipal Council had earlier in February launched a team of high-profile social media influencers to promote the Tinubu administration and highlight its accomplishments.

Speaking on the political climate ahead of 2027, Alfindiki stated, “2027 election is going to be a defining moment for Kano, Arewa people, and for us here in Kano, we have chosen Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu for his unparalleled support to the region, and as for the microscopic minorities who are benching on tribal sentiment, we want to make it clear that North cannot be hoodwinked any longer.”

He argued that politics rooted in ethnic sentiment was losing relevance, adding that the electorate in the North is now more informed about the kind of leadership it needs.

As he put it, “This old order of political malfeasance has only enriched the very few and their immediate family at the expense of the multitudes, and the time is ripe to see beyond ethnic cocoons in choice of leaders.”

Alfindiki assured that the president could count on overwhelming support from Kano and the wider Arewa bloc, declaring that the 2027 polls would deliver victory to the APC. He added that the presidency should ignore “those ethnic champions masquerading as national leaders.”
