Woman found dead inside moving tricycle in Aba

Residents of Aba, Abia State, were thrown into shock and confusion on Tuesday evening after a female passenger was discovered dead inside a moving commercial tricycle, popularly known as Keke NAPEP.

The tragic incident occurred around the Railway Junction area, near the gate of Ogbonnaya Onu Polytechnic. Eyewitnesses say the tricycle was en route to the Railway Junction from another part of the city when the lifeless woman was noticed.

It was further gathered that the woman was being conveyed in the tricycle but on arrival at her intended bus stop, she was discovered unresponsive, prompting the tricycle operator to raise alarm.

Some residents of Aba who reacted to the circulating picture of the incident on social media by Wednesday morning, identified her as” Auntie Love,” a teacher and a Secretary in a popular school in Aba.

However, there was not yet an official confirmation of the victim’s true identity and residence from the Police or government agencies.

Message sent to the Public Relations Officer of Abia State Police Command, DSP Maureen Chinaka to confirm the incident was not replied at the time of this report.
