Nigeria’s Super Falcons have landed back in the country to a jubilant reception after clinching their record-extending 10th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) title with a thrilling 3-2 win over hosts Morocco.
The champions, alongside their coaching crew and officials, touched down at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, on Monday afternoon, greeted by cheering fans and supporters eager to celebrate their remarkable achievement.
To mark the occasion, the Super Falcons will embark on a victory parade across the Federal Capital Territory. The trophy tour is expected to pass through major landmarks including Airport Road, Berger Junction, Maitama, and Wuse Market, giving fans across the city a chance to honor the national heroes.
The celebration will reach its peak later in the day when the team will be formally hosted by President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
