PDP’s Fayose spotted at APC rally in Ekiti, declares support for Oyebanji, Tinubu’s re-election

In a surprising political twist, former Ekiti State governor and chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ayodele Fayose, was seen at an All Progressives Congress (APC) rally held in Ado-Ekiti on Monday, openly supporting Governor Biodun Oyebanji and his deputy for a second term in office.
Fayose, known for his bold political moves, was sighted at the Ekiti Parapo Pavilion, the venue of the rally, dressed in a colorful Ankara outfit paired with a black facecap bearing the PDP logo—an appearance that sparked immediate reactions both online and offline.
Speaking during the rally, the former governor announced his endorsement and total support for President Bola Tinubu’s reelection bid.
He said, “I want to join all well-meaning Nigerians, particularly Ekiti leaders and followers, to endorse publicly without reservation, the President and Commander of the Armed Forces, President Bola Tinubu, for a second term and to equally endorse our Governor, Abayomi Oyebanji, and his deputy for a second term.”
He also described the ongoing event as a unique one.
The former governor further used the opportunity to deny reports that he had defected from the PDP to the APC.
