Portable demands N1bn to fight VeryDarkMan, says N100m offer ‘too small’

Controversial street-hop artist, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has turned down an offer of N100 million to physically confront online critic Martins Otse, who is widely known by his alias, VeryDarkMan.
Portable insisted he would only consider the offer if it reached N1 billion, claiming the initial amount was far below what he earns from his supporters.
Their feud intensified after Portable lashed out at Otse for his outspoken criticism of President Bola Tinubu’s administration. Since then, both men have taken their conflict to social media, exchanging diss tracks and fiery comments, which have kept fans glued to their feeds.
In a trending video, Portable waved off the N100 million proposal, boasting about his financial backing.
“That N100m, my fans give it to me. N100m is small for me to fight VDM. Let them give me one billion, I will fight him and beat him,” he said.
The singer added that those suggesting the match were unable to handle VeryDarkMan themselves, yet expected him to do so for a meager sum.
“If anybody can drop N1billion, I will fight him. Someone you can’t hold, you are now asking me to fight and beat him.
“You are scared of him, you can’t jail him,” Portable said.
The public spat has sparked conversations online, with many weighing in on whether the clash is serious or merely a publicity stunt.
