Lagos : Teacher found dead in Kings College’s classroom

Tension gripped the Kings College community in Lagos on Saturday evening following the sudden and unexplained death of a 48-year-old teacher, Mr. Ezekiel Akano, whose lifeless body was discovered inside a classroom.
Security analyst Zagazola Makama reported that the Lagos State Police Command received information about the incident from the school’s Vice Principal, Mr. Oguniyi Ayodele, at approximately 7:40 p.m.
According to police sources, Ayodele said he was notified of Akano’s body being found within the school compound, located at No. 3 Catholic Mission Street, on Lagos Island.
A police team was promptly dispatched to the scene, where officers cordoned off the area to begin preliminary investigations. Photographs were taken and an assessment conducted, but there were no immediate signs of physical trauma or violence.
Mr. Akano, who hailed from Oyo State, was transported to Lagos Island Hospital in Odan. Upon arrival, a doctor confirmed that he had died.
His body has been placed in the hospital morgue, pending an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
The police say a comprehensive investigation is now underway and have assured the public that efforts are being made to uncover the events that led to the teacher’s untimely passing.
