Indian factory manager dies after collapsing on duty in Edo

A 47-year-old Indian national, Kalidass Arunachalam, has passed away after collapsing while on duty at a factory located in Ologbo, within the Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area of Edo State.
Arunachalam, who held the position of production manager at Green Hills Agricultural Products Ltd, reportedly slumped around 11:30 a.m. on Friday while at work.
Security analyst Zagozola Makama reported that company officials, including fellow Indian national Tushar Tukaram Phadtare, the Managing Director Suleman Dauda, and the Chief Security Officer, retired Lt. Col. Thompson Udom, quickly transported him to God’s Spring Best Care Hospital in the nearby Obaretin Community in a bid to save his life.
A medical practitioner at the hospital, Dr. Kingsley Dele, confirmed the Indian national had died, despite ongoing resuscitation efforts.
When authorities later visited the facility, the body was found lying on a hospital bed with an intravenous drip still attached. No signs of physical injury or trauma were visible on the corpse.
The deceased’s remains were subsequently moved to a mortuary, while steps are being taken to notify the Indian Embassy in order to inform his family and begin necessary diplomatic processes.
