APC shifts NEC meeting to presidential villa changes time

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced a change in the venue and time of its upcoming National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting scheduled for Thursday, July 24, 2025.

According to a statement issued on Wednesday by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the meeting will now be held at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, Abuja, instead of the APC national secretariat as earlier scheduled. The new time for the meeting is 2:00 p.m.

“The change of venue from the party’s National Secretariat – 40 Blantyre Street, Wuse II, Abuja to the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, Abuja is due to logistical reasons,” Morka said.

Platinumpost reports that the timing of this NEC session is critical, with the party expected to endorse a successor to former national chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje, who resigned in June citing health issues.

His resignation has created a leadership vacuum, and party sources suggest an acting chairman, Ali Bukar Dalori, may continue in his role until a formal elective convention is convened.

The NEC is also set to discuss updates from the Constitution Review Committee and e‑registration efforts ahead of the 2027 elections.
