JUST IN Tension as security operatives block Natasha from entering National Assembly

There was tension at the National Assembly gate in Abuja on Tuesday when security operatives denied suspended Kogi Central Senator, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, access to the complex.

The embattled lawmaker arrived at the premises with a strong show of support, flanked by prominent activist Aisha Yesufu, rights advocate Mama P, fellow activist Randy, and a crowd of loyal supporters. However, their attempt to gain entry was halted by stern-faced security personnel.

Aisha Yesufu confronted the security officials, demanding explanations for the order allegedly instructing them to bar Senator Natasha. The standoff drew public attention, highlighting the ongoing controversy surrounding the senator’s suspension.

“National Assembly is meant to be for everyone. Why are you stopping us?

“We are not abiding doesn’t mean we are cowards,” she said.

The standoff quickly escalated as some supporters began chanting “Push!” while attempting to force their way in.

Natasha’s supporters were later seen marching toward the complex, chanting solidarity songs.
