Nollywood actor, Njemanze, dies after battle with cancer

The Nigerian film industry has been thrown into mourning following the death of veteran Nollywood actor Tom Njemanze.

He reportedly passed away Friday after a prolonged struggle with prostate cancer.

Njemanze had been bedridden for a while, and although there had been signs of improvement, news of his passing has come as a shock to many.

Rising to fame in the 1990s, Njemanze earned a reputation for his captivating performances in Nollywood classics such as Tokunboh, Pounds and Dollars, Atosa, Issakaba, Osuofia in London, Brain Box, and Igbotic Love.

Renowned for his expressive acting style and magnetic screen presence, Tom Njemanze remains a beloved icon in the history of Nigerian cinema.
