The Ondo State Police Command has announced the death of Oladele Femi, a landlord accused of orchestrating the murder of two students from Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko (AAUA).

According to the command’s spokesperson, DSP Olushola Ayanlade, Femi died while undergoing treatment in a hospital after being taken into custody and reportedly confessing to the crime.

“Yes he is dead. He had been under medical supervision since he was arrested and he had been in and out of hospital. He passed away yesterday,” Ayanlade told journalists on Saturday.

The police added that efforts to recover the remains of the victims are still ongoing.

“As of now, the decomposing remains of Okah have been recovered, while efforts are ongoing to locate Abba’s body,” Ayanlade said.

Two other individuals, identified as Kola and Micheal, have also been arrested in connection with the case. The duo allegedly withdrew ₦800,000 from the account of one of the victims, John Abba.

Femi, also known by the alias “Tallex,” was reportedly the landlord of Abba, who went missing on June 20 along with his female companion, Eloho Okah.

Investigations revealed that the suspect allegedly murdered both students and buried their bodies in a shallow grave. A Lexus RX 350 SUV, belonging to Abba, was recovered from one of the arrested suspects.

Police findings indicated that ₦800,000 had been transferred from Abba’s bank account while he and Okah were held captive.
