Tinubu heads to Kano Friday

President Bola Tinubu is scheduled to visit Kano on Friday to extend his condolences to the people of the state, the government, and the family of the late Aminu Dantata—an influential businessman, elder statesman, and philanthropist.

This was confirmed in a statement issued on Thursday by the spokesperson to the Kano State Governor, Sunusi Bature.

He described the visit as “a show of national unity and respect for the people of Kano and the legacy of the late industrialist.”

Governor Abba Yusuf urged Kano residents to receive the president warmly and peacefully, upholding the state’s well-known tradition of hospitality and reverence for leadership.

The condolence visit follows the recent death of Alhaji Aminu Dantata, whose lifetime of philanthropy, public service, and investment left a deep and lasting mark on lives across Nigeria.

Authorities have put necessary security and logistical arrangements in place to ensure the president’s visit is conducted smoothly and with dignity.
