Ebonyi Governor, Nwifuru reshuffles cabinet

Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State has approved a minor cabinet reshuffle, aimed at strengthening governance and improving administrative efficiency across the state.
The changes were announced on Monday during the State Executive Council (EXCO) meeting held at the Government House in Abakaliki.
Addressing members of the council, Governor Nwifuru emphasized the importance of renewed commitment and performance from government officials. He encouraged them to reflect on their contributions thus far and align more closely with the administration’s developmental agenda.

Under the new arrangement, Jude Chikadibia Okpor, who previously served as commissioner for information and state orientation, has been redeployed to the Ministry of Rural Development.
Aikeuwa Omebeh, former commissioner for rural development, now takes charge of the Ministry of Information and State Orientation.
Paul Awo Nwobasi, who served as commissioner for education (primary and secondary), has been assigned to the Ministry of Border Peace and Conflict Resolution.
Donatus Ilang, previously in charge of border peace and conflict resolution, is now the new commissioner for education (primary and secondary).
Nwifuru charged the reassigned commissioners to inject renewed energy into their new roles and deliver measurable outcomes for the people of the state.
