Ganduje mourns Buhari, says Nigeria has lost true patriot

Former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, has expressed profound grief over the death of ex-President Muhammadu Buhari.
In a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Edwin Olofu, Ganduje lauded Buhari’s legacy, describing him as a disciplined leader, a dedicated patriot, and a statesman whose entire life was devoted to the service of Nigeria.
He emphasized that Buhari’s passing represents a significant loss not only to his family and the people of Katsina State but to the country as a whole.
“President Muhammadu Buhari was an embodiment of integrity, discipline, and selfless service. From his days as a military officer to his tenure as a democratically elected President, he remained committed to the unity, progress, and development of Nigeria. His legacy of fighting corruption, promoting agricultural growth, and ensuring national security will continue to be remembered,” the statement read.
The former Kano State governor extended his condolences to Buhari’s family, the people and government of Katsina State, and the entire nation. He prayed for Allah (SWT) to grant the late President eternal rest in Aljannatul Firdaus.
Ganduje also urged Nigerians to preserve Buhari’s memory by embracing the principles he championed—patriotism, honesty, and sacrifice.
