Babcock University student reportedly commits suicide at family home

A heartbreaking tragedy has struck the family of a 200-level student of Babcock University, Olaoluwa Subomi Lawson, who reportedly took his own life at his father’s residence in Redemption Camp City, Ogun State.

According to security sources cited by Zagazola Makama, the incident was formally reported on Tuesday by a relative living in Festac Town, Lagos.

The family was alerted by the deceased’s mother, Olufunke Lawson, who currently resides in the United Kingdom. She called to inform them of the devastating news that her son had hanged himself in his room.

Olaoluwa was a student of Babcock University, located in Ilishan-Remo, Ogun State. The exact motive behind his action remains unclear, and the incident is currently under investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding his death.
