Police officer killed, wife kidnapped in Kaduna ambush

A police officer has been killed and his wife abducted in what appears to be an ambush in Kurmin Kare village, located in the Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
According to a report released Saturday by security analyst Zagazola Makama, the deceased has been identified as Inspector Donfa Chirtip of the Special Protection Unit (SPU) Base 7, Abuja. His body was discovered on a farm in the village on Friday evening, bearing a deep cut to the neck.
Security patrol teams were quickly dispatched to the location where the body was recovered.
Initial findings indicate that Inspector Chirtip and his wife, Mrs. Victoria Chirtip, had left for their farm around 7:00 a.m. on a motorcycle and may have been ambushed by unidentified attackers as they returned later that day.
The inspector’s body was transported to Doka General Hospital, where he was officially declared dead by a medical professional. His remains have been placed in the hospital mortuary.
Search efforts are currently underway to find his missing wife and bring those responsible for the crime to justice.
