GTBank announces early closure of branches, gives reason

Guaranty Trust Bank (GTBank) has announced it will close all its branches across Nigeria earlier than usual on Monday, June 30, to carry out its half-year audit.

The bank disclosed the temporary adjustment in operating hours in a notice sent to customers via email on Saturday.

In the message, GTBank stated that the early closure is necessary to facilitate its mid-year financial review.

“Please be informed that our branches nationwide will close to customers early on Monday, June 30, 2025 for our half-year audit,” the statement read.

The bank also outlined specific closure times based on branch location, with a distinction between upcountry and Lagos outlets.

“Kindly note the early closure time below: Upcountry Branches – 2.00 p.m.; Lagos Branches – 3.00 p.m.,” it added.

Customers were encouraged to make use of GTBank’s digital platforms for their transactions during the period.

Normal operations are expected to resume on Tuesday, July 1, during standard business hours.

GTBank expressed appreciation for customers’ understanding and loyalty amid the temporary schedule adjustment.
