Pro Tinubu group visits Minister Atah lauds Renewed Hope Housing Project

The Renewed Hope Vanguard for Tinubu, a grassroots mobilization group aligned with President Bola Tinubu’s administration, has paid a courtesy visit to the Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, Abdullahi Yusuf Atah, in Abuja.

Led by its National Coordinator, Austin Oguejiofor, the delegation praised the minister for his contributions to the Renewed Hope Housing Project — a flagship initiative aimed at addressing Nigeria’s housing deficit and enhancing urban development nationwide.

According to a statement issued on Wednesday by Seyi Olorunsola, an aide to the minister, Oguejiofor expressed deep appreciation for the progress made under Atah’s stewardship.

“We are impressed by the energy and vision Rt. Hon. Atah has brought into his portfolio,” Oguejiofor said. He added that the group’s visit was also intended to formally introduce the Renewed Hope Vanguard for Tinubu and seek the minister’s support in promoting its objectives.

“The Renewed Hope Vanguard for Tinubu is a grassroots mobilization structure designed to ensure that Nigerians are adequately sensitized to support and benefit from the bold reform agenda of Mr. President. We are not only working to ensure the success of the Tinubu administration, but also committed to securing the foundation for his re-election in 2027,” he said.

In response, Minister Atah welcomed the group and pledged his full support, emphasizing the importance of public engagement in the success of the housing initiative.

“The Renewed Hope Housing Project is more than just brick and mortar,” he said. “It is about restoring dignity, security, and economic opportunity to millions of Nigerians. I urge you to be our ambassadors in taking this message of hope to the grassroots.”

Atah described housing as a critical factor in promoting economic growth and social stability, noting that the ministry is working relentlessly to make affordable housing accessible to ordinary Nigerians.

Following their meeting at the ministry, the delegation proceeded to the national secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC), where they were received by  Mohammed Garba, Chief of Staff to the APC National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, who was on official duty with President Tinubu in Nasarawa State.

During the visit, Oguejiofor reiterated the group’s commitment to the Renewed Hope Agenda and highlighted several achievements of the administration.

These, he said, include: The removal of fuel subsidy, which he acknowledged had caused initial hardship but is now redirecting resources to infrastructure and social programs; the unification of exchange rates, bringing increased transparency to the country’s monetary system;, the Renewed Hope Conditional Cash Transfer Scheme, providing economic relief to vulnerable citizens, among others.

Oguejiofor also conveyed greetings to the APC Chairman and expressed gratitude for the opportunity to visit.

Garba, in turn, assured the delegation that their message would be delivered to Dr. Ganduje and that a new meeting date would be scheduled.
