Popular pastor arrested for allegedly defiling 14-year-old girl

The founder of Prophetic Victory Voice of Fire Ministry, Pastor Amos Isah, has been arrested by operatives of the Federal Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) over the alleged rape of a 14-year-old girl in Gwagwaada, Abuja—Sahara Reporters says.
According to Sahara Reporters, the arrest, which occurred last week, has left the local community in disbelief. Pastor Isah, widely known in the area for his charismatic preaching and bold claims of divine authority, was taken into custody following credible allegations that he sexually assaulted the minor under the guise of spiritual mentorship.
The church, located behind Noble Noel Academy and opposite Gwagwaada Market, has drawn a loyal following over the years. However, the atmosphere changed drastically after his sudden disappearance from the pulpit.
According to SaharaReporters, the alleged incident has drawn the attention of FCID detectives who confirmed the victim’s age and the nature of the offence. Investigators say the pastor allegedly exploited his influence and proximity to the young girl to perpetrate the act.
Despite the severity of the allegations, sources claim there are attempts by some individuals within the police force to suppress the case and protect the accused.
Pastor Isah’s last appearance at the church was during a service held on Wednesday, June 18, 2025. A subsequent service on Thursday, June 19, was reportedly conducted in his absence, sparking rumours among congregants.
Known for his regular Facebook sermons and public declarations on morality and holiness, Pastor Isah’s arrest has left many of his followers stunned. His social media pages—now inactive had often been used to preach against immorality and ungodliness.
As of the time of filing this report, the FCID has yet to issue an official statement.
