JUST IN: Scores feared dead in Lagos-Ibadan expressway accident

A horrific road accident involving several vehicles on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway in Ibadan, Oyo State, has reportedly left over ten people dead and many others injured.
The fatal crash occurred in the early hours of Tuesday near the Soka area of the expressway, causing widespread panic and heavy traffic gridlock.
Eyewitnesses at the scene revealed that the collision involved at least three Nissan Micra taxis and three articulated trucks, all reportedly heading from the Iwo Road axis before the tragic incident unfolded.
The force of the impact was described as devastating, with several victims trapped inside mangled vehicles. Local residents and passersby rushed to the scene to assist before emergency responders arrived.
As of the time of this report, officials have yet to release an official death toll, but eyewitness accounts suggest that the number of casualties could exceed ten, with numerous others suffering varying degrees of injuries.
Emergency services, including the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), are said to be working at the site to manage the situation and evacuate victims to nearby hospitals.
