Gov Aiyedatiwa sends additional 4 commissioner nominees to Ondo Assembly

Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has submitted the names of four additional commissioner nominees to the state House of Assembly for screening and confirmation.

This development was made public on Sunday through a statement issued by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Ebenezer Adeniyan.

The latest nominations follow the earlier submission of 12 names last week, who are presently undergoing legislative screening.

The new commissioner nominees are Pastor Bola Ademuwagun, Mr. Leye Akinola, Dr. Banji Ajaka, and Mr. Adesoji Afolabi.

“In exercise of the power conferred on me by Section 192 (1&2) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 (as amended), I wish to forward to your esteemed office the following commissioner nominees,” the statement read.

“The nominees are for your kind consideration and confirmation of the House of Assembly.

“I shall be most obliged to the honourable house for your expeditious action on this request in the overall interest of our dear state.

“Please accept, as always, my highest regards for your esteemed self and other distinguished members of the house,” the governor stated in the letter.

The nominations now await the House’s confirmation to complete the formation of the state executive council.
