 Nigeria s first female fighter pilot clinches top honours in Ghana

Flight Lieutenant Kafayat Sanni, Nigeria’s first female fighter pilot, has added another milestone to her groundbreaking career by receiving top honours at the Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College (GAFCSC) in Accra.

Sanni was named the Best Allied Student and also clinched the award for the Best Assistant Commandant Paper, distinguishing herself among a competitive international cohort.

The achievement was announced in a statement released on Saturday in Abuja by Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, Director of Public Relations and Information of the Nigerian Air Force.

According to Ejodame, the awards were presented during the College’s graduation ceremony on Friday, an event that drew high-ranking military officers and dignitaries from various African nations.
