EFCC arrests 7 ‘Yahoo Boys’ in Abuja, recovers 8 luxury cars

Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested seven suspected internet fraudsters, commonly known as Yahoo Boys, in Abuja.
The arrests were made on Thursday, June 19, 2025, in the Lifecamp and Kubwa areas of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), following what the commission described as “credible intelligence” linking the individuals to cybercrime.
A brief statement issued by the EFCC confirmed the recovery of several high-value items during the operation.
“Items recovered from them include eight high-end automobiles, expensive laptop computers and mobile phones.
“They will be charged to court as soon as investigation is concluded,” the statement added.
