BREAKING: Court grants Natasha N50m bail in defamation case

The Federal Capital Territory High Court in Abuja has granted bail to Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, who is facing defamation charges filed by the Federal Government.
At Thursday’s hearing, the court set bail at ₦50 million, with the condition that the senator must provide one surety of reasonable integrity, who must be resident within the FCT and possess a landed property located in the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC).
Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan, who represents Kogi Central Senatorial District, had earlier arrived at the court ahead of her arraignment, maintaining a calm and confident demeanor. The defamation charge, filed by the Director of Public Prosecutions, stems from her public allegations against prominent political figures.
