Tinubu Commissions Water Project

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Monday, June 16, officially commissioned critical components of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Water Supply Network, marking a major milestone in infrastructure development in Abuja.

The commissioned project includes Loops 1, 2, 5, and 6 of the FCT water supply network and was executed by the FCT Administration to improve access to clean water across the city.

The commissioning ceremony, held in Abuja, was attended by top political figures including the Minister of the FCT, Nyesom Wike; APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje; and the Minister of State for FCT, Mariya Mahmoud.

The project is located on the Abuja Airport Road, along the China Chambers of Commerce building.

This particular commissioning comes days after the president had inaugurated several other initiatives within the FCT.

One of these projects includes the rehabilitation of the International Conference Centre, Abuja.

The rehabilitation project was also carried out by the FCTA under the leadership of Nyesom Wike, the minister of the FCT.

The process which cost N39 billion caused outrage among some leaders of the country, including Peter Obi who believes the money could have been invested into key sectors like education or health.
