Nasarawa: Suspected herdsmen kill village head, abduct residents in late-night attack

A peaceful Sunday night turned tragic for residents of Tse Yange, a predominantly Tiv farming community in Obi Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, as suspected herdsmen launched a deadly attack on the village.
According to eyewitnesses, the assailants stormed the community on motorbikes, unleashing terror on unsuspecting residents. The village head was reportedly killed in the assault, while several people were abducted during the violent raid.
The invasion, which began late Sunday and continued into the early hours of Monday, also left many residents injured and forced dozens to flee their homes in panic. Reports say several homes were abandoned in the aftermath, as fear gripped the community.
