How Israel’s Mossad set up drone base inside Iran to disrupt Iranian missiles

Israel quietly established a drone base within Iranian territory as part of a years-long covert campaign targeting Iran’s missile and nuclear infrastructure before launching a major attack on Thursday night, according to a security official speaking to The Times of Israel.
The official said the complex operation was the result of close collaboration between the Israel Defense Forces and the Mossad intelligence agency. Among the most significant revelations was the construction of a drone launch site near Tehran, reportedly operated by Mossad agents.
“The drones were activated overnight, striking surface-to-surface missile launchers aimed at Israel,” the official stated.
In addition to the drone strikes, Israeli operatives are said to have smuggled advanced weapons systems into Iran using disguised vehicles. These systems were used to neutralize air defense platforms, clearing the way for Israeli aircraft to operate freely in Iranian airspace.
“These systems took out Iran’s air defenses and gave Israeli planes air supremacy and freedom of action over Iran,” the official explained.
A third aspect of the operation involved Mossad commandos allegedly placing precision-guided missiles near key anti-aircraft sites in central Iran, further weakening the country’s ability to respond to an aerial assault.
