Tinubu meets with Ibori Okoya others in Lagos

President Bola Tinubu hosted several prominent figures at his Lagos residence on Saturday, including former Delta State governor James Ibori.

Among the notable visitors were the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Abubakar Bagudu, as well as billionaire industrialist Razak Okoya, who was accompanied by his wife, Shade Okoya, and their son.

President Tinubu has been in Lagos since May 27, during which time he has participated in various official engagements. These included attending the 50th anniversary of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) and commissioning multiple developmental projects across the state.

He is expected to return to the Federal Capital Territory following the Eid-el-Kabir holiday.

In his message to mark the occasion, Tinubu urged Nigerians to pray for the country’s continued peace and stability. He said: “Let us spare a prayer for our nation for continuous peace and stability while working according to purpose in promoting unity, peace, and progress.”

The president also acknowledged the efforts and sacrifices made by citizens over the past year as his government works toward national development. “My administration is prioritising their physical, social, and economic security and will not relent in this noble endeavour,” he reassured.
