Arsenal close to sign Chelsea goalkeeper

Arsenal are nearing the signing of Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga as they look to strengthen their goalkeeping options ahead of the new season.
The 30-year-old Spaniard has reportedly agreed to make the switch to the Emirates Stadium, with Arsenal expected to trigger the £5 million release clause in his current Chelsea deal.
In a report shared by The Athletic’s David Ornstein, the transfer appears to be moving swiftly towards completion.
“Arsenal to sign Kepa Arrizabalaga from Chelsea. Deal in process of being finalised after 30yo Spanish goalkeeper agreed to join #AFC & fight for place. £5m release clause in #CFC contract will need activating.”
Kepa made 35 appearances in all competitions for Chelsea last season and kept nine clean sheets. His potential arrival would add experienced competition for Arsenal’s current No.1, David Raya.
