Eidul Adh’ah : APC guber aspirant felicitates Osun Muslims, others, urges love, moderation

A leading contender for the 2026 Osun State governorship seat under the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the party’s National Secretary, Dr. Ajibola Basiru, has extended his warm greetings to Muslims in Osun and across the country as they celebrate Eid al-Adha.

In a statement issued by the spokesperson for the Senator Ajibola Basiru Campaign Organization, Professor Sulaiman Ajala, the APC chieftain expressed gratitude to God and congratulated the Muslim faithful on witnessing another Eid.

“We thank the Almighty Allah for another grace of life to be part of this year’s celebrations. It’s a privilege not by our doing or strength or power.

“I want to appreciate the people of Osun State for sustaining the confidence in APC. I appreciate the sacrifice we have made so far under the clueless administration in the State.

“I also thumb up for the support so far given to the Federal Government under Asiwaju Bola Tinubu with the policies turning things around gradually for Nigerians,” he said

While urging citizens to seize the opportunity of the Eid festivities to offer prayers for the progress of Osun State, Basiru said as he had declared his intention to govern the State, having acquired all it takes to be elected the Governor in 2026.

“I treasure the support of our people for Alubarika Movement, I relish your unrelenting efforts and admire your courage at seeing that determination to Govern the State sees the light of the day. I still want to prod us to use this period of acceptance of prayers to pray for our dear State, Nation and party, particularly APC’s triumph in next year’s Governorship poll in Osun and other elections elsewhere,” he said.

The APC chieftain also encouraged Muslims to celebrate the season with modesty and compassion, reaching out to others regardless of religious beliefs.

“May Allah accept our sacrifices and make witness more in sound health and prosperity,” Basiru prayed.
