Police gun down 4 suspected kidnappers in Delta

In a coordinated operation during the early hours of Wednesday, policemen in collaboration with local hunters successfully neutralized four suspected kidnappers in Abraka, located in Ethiope-East Local Government Area of Delta State.
The suspects, believed to be Fulani herdsmen, were reportedly gunned down following a fierce exchange of gunfire. Security operatives also recovered an AK-47 rifle from the scene.
As of the time of this report, the bodies of the suspects were still on display at the Abraka Police Division, serving as a stark reminder of the growing security challenges in the region.
While the Delta State Police spokesperson, SP Bright Edafe, is yet to issue an official statement, human rights advocate Comrade Efemena Umukoro has praised the swift and decisive action of the police and local hunters.
“The earlier these criminals are brought to justice, the safer our communities become,” Umukoro stated, urging continued collaboration between security agencies and locals to combat kidnapping and violent crimes in the area.
