Boko Haram fighters flee as troops neutralise 3

Nigerian troops under Operation HADIN KAI have killed three Boko Haram fighters during a clearance operation in Konduga Local Government Area of Borno State.

According to security analyst and counter-insurgency expert Zagazola Makama, troops encountered the insurgents on May 31 while advancing through the outskirts of Konduga.

A brief but intense gunfight ensued, during which three terrorists  were neutralised. Several others reportedly fled the scene with gunshot wounds.

As of the time of filing this report, neither the Nigerian Army nor the Defence Headquarters had issued an official statement on the incident.
