JUST IN: Tension as explosion rocks Mararaba-Nyanya bypass
The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has launched an investigation following an explosion that occurred along the Mararaba-Nyanya bypass on Monday, May 26, 2025, at approximately 2:50 PM.
According to a statement from the Command, officers from the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Unit were swiftly deployed to the scene after receiving a distress report. The area was immediately cordoned off to ensure public safety while clearance and forensic analysis began.
One male victim was rescued from the scene and has been hospitalized, receiving medical attention for his injuries.
The police have assured residents that there is no immediate cause for alarm, and have urged the public to remain calm and continue with their daily activities. However, citizens are advised to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities or objects.
