Gov Uzodimma sacks Attorney General

Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State has ordered the immediate dismissal of Cyprian Akaolisa, who until now served as the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice in the state.

The directive was announced on Monday in an official statement released by Declan Mbadiwe Emelumba, the state’s Commissioner for Information, Public Orientation, and Strategy.

Following his dismissal, Akaolisa has been instructed to hand over all government properties and assets in his possession to the State Solicitor General and Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Justice without delay.

The terse statement reads, “The Governor of Imo State, His Excellency, Senator Hope Uzodimma, CON, has approved the immediate removal from the office of the State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barr C .O. C Akaolisa,

“The erstwhile commissioner has been directed to hand over all government property under his care to the State Solicitor General and Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Justice, immediately.
