Tragedy as popular pastor dies in tragic road accident

The Christian community in Kaduna and beyond is in mourning following the sudden death of Reverend Azzaman David, a revered cleric and founder of The King Worship Chapel and Ministry, Inc.

Rev. Azzaman reportedly lost his life in a fatal car accident on Saturday while returning to Kaduna from Makurdi, Benue State. Although details of the crash are still unclear, it was confirmed that he was the sole occupant of the vehicle at the time of the incident.

His close friend and fellow cleric, Rev. Mohammed Mohammed, shared the heartbreaking news via a Facebook post, expressing grief over the loss of a passionate preacher and devoted servant of God.

Rev. Azzaman was widely known for his unwavering commitment to the Christian faith, his dynamic preaching, and his efforts to uplift souls through worship and teaching.

“REV Azzaman Azzaman had an accident on his way back from Makurdi. He died alone in the car. May he rest in peace. May the Lord comfort us in the name of Jesus,” the post read.

Known for his outspoken presence on social media, especially Facebook, Rev. Azzaman was widely admired for his bold theological debates and interfaith discussions.

He frequently engaged Muslim scholars, atheists, and sceptics, drawing large audiences through live video sessions and posts that tackled sensitive issues of doctrine and belief.

His sudden death has sparked an outpouring of tributes and grief nationwide. Many described him as a fearless preacher, a teacher of truth, and a voice of courage in the Christian community.

“A great soldier of the Lord takes a bow and goes home to wear his crown of glory after having fought a good fight of faith,” wrote Mustapha Mushas on Facebook.

Another tribute read: “This is a huge loss to the body of Christ. Rev. Azzaman stood firm in the face of opposition and taught us how to engage with truth and grace.”

Rev. Azzaman, who rose to prominence through his passionate public engagements and deep scriptural knowledge, leaves behind a wife and children. Funeral arrangements have yet to be officially announced.
