Nigeria’s current hardship won’t last forever, says Sultan

Amid rising economic challenges across the country, the Sultan of Sokoto and President-General of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, has called on Nigerians not to lose hope in the nation’s future.
The Sultan made this appeal on Friday in Sokoto during the observance of the new moon of Zulki’ida, which marks the beginning of the 11th month in the Islamic calendar.
Addressing the economic difficulties facing millions of citizens, the revered monarch acknowledged the widespread hardship but urged Nigerians to remain resilient and faithful.
He said, “There is hope in Nigeria, no matter the current hardship. Things will get better, and we must not give up on our nation.”
The Sultan also called on leaders at all levels to intensify efforts in addressing the suffering of the people and to ensure that relief reaches those in need. He emphasized unity, prayer, and collective responsibility as vital tools in overcoming the nation’s challenges.
He further encouraged Nigerians to remain steadfast in their faith, especially during these trying times, and to continue praying for peace, stability, and economic recovery across the country.
